Medical Assisting

Medical Assisting

Students who choose the Medical Assisting track will be attending Lansing Community College (LCC), where they will graduate with the potential of up to 50 college credits, a Medical Assisting credential, an EKG credential, and a Phlebotomy credential. 

Enrollment in the Medical Assisting track begins in year 11 at either Brighton High School or Howell High School by taking Health Occupations through Livingston County’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) consortium agreements. The day will be spent back at your home high school.

During years 12 and 13, students will spend their day at LCC’s Livingston Center located in Howell or LCC’s main campus in Lansing. Students will also go off-site for clinical externships and experiences.
