Livingston Career & Technical Education

Livingston Career & Technical Education

Livingston Career and Technical Education (CTE) has over forty CTE programs, providing high school students with career exploration, work-based learning experiences, leadership and employability skills, college credits, and hands-on application of core academic standards. These programs prepare over 3,500 students annually for a world-class workforce and education beyond high school.

Livingston Educational Service Agency is the administrative and fiscal agent for the Livingston CTE consortium and includes Brighton Area Schools, Fowlerville Community Schools, Hartland Consolidated Schools, Howell Public Schools, and Pinckney Community Schools. Having a consortium allows students the opportunity to attend CTE programs in grades 11 and 12, which may not be available at their home high school.

Along with high quality instruction from an industry-certified teacher, all Livingston CTE programs provide students with a program of study that leads to post-secondary training and a career, including articulated college credits and industry credentials. Successful completion of a CTE program may also fulfill Michigan Merit Curriculum (MMC) requirements, such as the 2nd foreign language, 3rd science, Visual, Performing, and Applied Arts (VPAA) and 4th math.
