WAY+ Livingston

The traditional classroom is not for everyone, so we partnered with WAY (Widening Advancements for Youth) to create the WAY+ Livingston program. It’s designed for students who:

  • Want to finish high school outside a traditional classroom.
  • Need help to graduate on time with their class.
  • Want to enroll in advanced classes and earn college credit in high school.

way+

WAY+ Livingston gives students a different, more flexible way of learning.  Students can take online classes and work at their own pace, and course schedules are personalized to build their mastery in reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and study skills.

How it Works

You’ll work online and in our Learning Lab, where you’ll get academic help from teachers and share experiences with other students. You’ll also have a mentor who will provide academic support and advice.

Through the HERO Learning System, you’ll have 24/7 online access to certified teachers who are experts in specific subject areas and can help with your coursework.

You’ll learn by doing, working on projects in line with your interests. Projects demonstrate your knowledge and skills in each subject, and some enable you to earn multiple high school credits.

You study at your own pace, so the more time and effort you put in, the faster you get to graduation.

Sports & Extracurriculars

WAY Livingston+ is more than just academics. It may enable you to participate in most sports, extracurriculars, and social activities for the full high school experience. These opportunities vary, depending on your school district.

Advanced Classes

Courses are COGNIA accredited, NCAA approved, and meet all state and national standards. You can enroll in advanced classes such as English Language Composition, Microeconomics, and more — earning college credits while in high school.

Work/Learning Connection

Our connections with local employers help our students explore career paths, get real-world job skills, and possibly earn trade or industry credentials.

Enrollment

You must be enrolled ― or be eligible to enroll ― in one of our local public high schools:> Brighton, Fowlerville,
Hartland, Howell, or Pinckney, and have a referral from your teacher, principal, parent, or guardian.
