Educators are at it again! This time Ed2Industry went to MacAllister/CAT to explore how Science and Math are used in the world of heavy machinery (it's used ALL THE TIME!). The results were amazing and the experience was exciting and eye-opening. Stay tuned for the Educator Showcase in May where teachers will show how they contextualized their curriculum to incorporate what they learned!

I love Project SEARCH because of all the new things and skills I am gaining.

MTSA 2026 Spotlight: We are incredibly proud of our LESA Work-Based Learning job coaches for their outstanding representation at the Michigan Transition Services Association (MTSA) Conference in Lansing!
Our team didn't just attend—they led the conversation with three different presentations. Sharing our expertise at the state level is a testament to the dedication our coaches have for creating meaningful pathways to employment and independence.
Congratulations to our team for empowering the future of transition services in Michigan!

As one intern perfectly put it: "It’s big, beautiful, and overwhelming." We are so proud of these interns for stepping into this new chapter with such honesty and enthusiasm. We can’t wait to see them grow, learn, and make this "overwhelming" space feel like home.

LESA has the most amazing Technology Department.
Luke Johnson, Dave Larson and Mark Rogers wheel smart boards and a speaker system from the Ed Center to Pathway for a community based meeting.
Meeting was a success - Doughnuts are the best way to thanks these guys for a job well done!

Watching them communicate, troubleshoot, and spot the nuances is a reminder that teamwork makes the dream work (especially when that dream requires 100% accuracy!).

This adorable little guy and his mama return their Cooking with a Croc bag from last week in exchange for this week's bag. Such a great way for our parents to connect with their children❣️

Alleyah is officially in her element in the Torch 180 Kitchen 101 Program (shoutout to STEP for making this possible!). She put her skills to the test and whipped up a Peanut Butter and Jelly mug cake.
What really stands out about Alleyah isn't just her cooking—it’s her incredible attention to detail. From precise measurements to the perfect finishing touches, she takes pride in everything she creates. We are so excited to see her confidence grow in the kitchen!

We were honored to host the Human Services Collaborative Body (HSCB) Annual Meeting on February 20th, where this year’s theme—Power of Partnerships: From Ideas to Action—came to life through connection, reflection, and parent voice.
When families, service providers, and policymakers unite across sectors, we move from ideas to action—and that’s where real change begins.
This meeting brought together community partners, agencies, leaders, and families to celebrate progress from the past year and strengthen collaboration moving forward. We were grateful to have in attendance Senator Lana Theis, Representative Ann Bollin, and Representative Jennifer Conlin.
