Today was a great day for Boone!
He just happened to be at agency with mom this morning where two of the counties deputies were having a meeting. 🚔
Deputies Thompson and Marino took a few moment to give him a tour of their patrol car and pose for a photo. Livingston County has the best School Resource Officers.

Our STEP students are officially leveling up. As they prepare to transition out of school programming, they aren’t just hitting the treadmills—they’re taking charge of their own fitness journeys.

Today, students opened their own memberships at Planet Fitness! From navigating the sign-up to planning their own meet-ups, these young adults are proving that post-school life is looking bright, healthy, and independent.

Check out these smiles from the Judgement Free Zone! 💜💛

A wide shot captures three young men standing on Matrix treadmills in a Planet Fitness gym, all smiling at the camera. The gym features a "massage" area on the left and a "black card zone" on the right. The man on the left is wearing a black t-shirt, the man in the middle is in a grey t-shirt, and the man on the right is wearing a black tank top and glasses. In the background, other gym-goers are visible, including a person in a blue shirt. The gym's ceiling is exposed, with fluorescent lights and pipes.

Students supporting one another and having fun
In this photo, you see a STEP student receiving direct feedback from an employer at Mugg and Bopps/ Dunkin Donuts. This is an incredible learning opportunity and a perfect example of how our programs prepare students for real-world success. We are so grateful to our community partners, Mugg & Bopps and Dunkin', for being such great supporters of LESA work-based learning programs!

Thank you to everyone who helped make Family Fun Day such a wonderful success for our littlest learners!

This special event was made possible by the Livingston Early Literacy Collaborative—including our county libraries and many incredible volunteers.

We’re so grateful for a community that shows up for kids in such a big way. ❤️

Strike! I had the absolute pleasure of observing Kim White’s classroom during their bowling outing!

This group of young people was incredibly supportive and encouraging toward one another from start to finish. It was so impressive to see their independence—everyone waited patiently for their turn and stepped up to the lanes confidently when it was time to bowl. Safe to say, they have bowling down!

So proud of these students for their sportsmanship and independence!
