Becky Gutierrez is known throughout Livingston ESA as a dependable, hardworking, and compassionate team member who consistently goes above and beyond to support others. In her role as an Accounts Payable and Finance Analyst, Becky plays a critical part in ensuring the agency’s financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Becky approaches every aspect of her work with accuracy, attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility. Whether she is processing accounts payable, assisting with payroll-related needs, or supporting financial processes across departments, she is committed to getting the job done right.
“Becky is one of the hardest working members of the Finance Department and consistently goes above and beyond her role,” shared A.J. Scherrer, Livingston ESA’s Finance Supervisor. “She approaches every assignment with a positive attitude and completes her work willingly, efficiently, and effectively.”
Her impact extends far beyond her core responsibilities. Becky is always willing to step in and support any project or task, regardless of whether it formally falls within her role. She works seamlessly with both internal staff and external partners, including vendors, ensuring questions are answered quickly and issues are resolved before they escalate.
“Becky consistently demonstrates excellence in her work and goes above and beyond to ensure everything is accurate, thorough, and completed the right way,” said Laura Walters, Livingston ESA’s Finance and Budget Director. “She maintains a strong collaborative spirit and makes sure every department feels supported.”
Most recently, Becky played a critical role in supporting the Finance Department during a time of reduced staffing. Her willingness to take on additional responsibilities ensured continuity in operations and helped the team successfully navigate a challenging period.
Beyond her technical skills, Becky is known as a reliable and steady presence her colleagues can count on.
“She is kind, approachable, and truly enjoyable to work with,” a team member shared. “I have complete confidence in the quality of her work, and she has a strong ability to see the bigger picture and help guide us toward the best course of action when challenges arise.”
Her support is especially valued during high-pressure moments.
Jamie Douglas, Livingston ESA’s Payroll Coordinator, described Becky as a dependable support during stressful payroll situations. “In payroll, things can get stressful when payday rolls around, but Becky is my go-to for check requests and last-minute needs. Even when she’s busy, she never makes me feel like a bother. She just jumps in and helps so employees get paid on time.”
Others describe her as a “lifesaver” and “the ultimate safety net,” always willing to step in, solve problems, and support her team no matter how busy she may be.
Becky’s impact is not only felt in her work, but also in the relationships she builds with those around her. She is known for her kindness, positivity, and willingness to go the extra mile for others.
“She will do absolutely anything for any of us and is willing to go the extra mile, even if it may inconvenience her,” a colleague shared. “She always offers a smiling face and is truly an asset here at LESA.”
Her compassion extends beyond the workplace as well.
“When I was new to the area and having car trouble, Becky immediately gave me her phone number in case I needed help,” a colleague shared. “That’s the type of person she is — always ready to lend a helping hand.”
Becky began her career with Livingston ESA in 2019 in the Early Childhood Department before transitioning into her current role in Finance. Since then, she has become an integral part of the team, known not only for her strong work ethic, but also for her unwavering support of others.
Angela Geyer, Livingston ESA’s Human Resource Analyst, credits Becky with giving her the confidence to pursue a position with the agency. “Without Becky’s encouragement, I would not be an employee here. She gave me the confidence to step out of my comfort zone and pursue a new opportunity. She is one of the nicest people I know.”
