A child’s early experiences influence brain development, establishing connections to provide the foundation for language, reasoning, problem solving, social skills, behavior and emotional health.
Children’s readiness for school is multi-faceted and shaped by numerous factors. In order to support a child development and school readiness, LESA provides a continuum of services and programs addressing children’s development of skills and behaviors in environments where they spend their time.
Providing resources and supports to families, community programs and early learning experiences, LESA Early Childhood Programs which include Head Start, Great Start Readiness, Early On and Great Start Livingston, help achieve the goal for all Livingston county children to become productive citizens of the community.
